Salem Pezić

Salem Pezić is an artist from Sarajevo. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo and received the University of Sarajevo’s Silver Badge. He works at the same academy. In his print series “Čuvari”, he explores the hero archetype and its symbolic journey, inspired by stećak tombstones, stelae and nišan gravestones. He creates the portraits using mezzotint. The series was presented at Sarajevo’s Jelićeva Gallery in November 2024.
