Amela Hadžimejlić

Amela Hadžimejlić was born in Ljubljana in 1969. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo in 1993 and completed postgraduate studies in printmaking in 1998 under Academician Dževad Hozo. She undertook specialist training in graphic design at Nottingham Trent University in the United Kingdom in 1994–1995.

She earned a doctorate in fine arts specialising in printmaking at the University of Sarajevo in 2014. She is a full professor in the Department of Printmaking at the Academy of Fine Arts, University of Sarajevo. She lives in Sarajevo.
