Kemil Bekteši

Kemil Bekteši was born in 1997. He is a visual artist of Gorani origin who lives and works in Sarajevo. He completed his bachelor’s degree in 2020 and master’s degree in 2021 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo. His practice encompasses sculpture, installation, drawing and performative work with food. Through family histories, he explores labour, migration, borders and identity. He received the Zvono Award in 2024 and the University of Sarajevo’s Golden Badge.
