Lea Jerlagić

Lea Jerlagić was born in Sarajevo in 1984. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo. With a Chinese Government scholarship, she spent two years from 2007 at the China Academy of Art under Professor Zhang Xiaofeng, studying Chinese culture, language and woodcut.

She completed her master’s degree at the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo in 2013 under Professor Salim Obralić with “Sinestezija”. She explored connections between sensory experiences through contemporary dance, which she was actively practising, and its representation in drawing and printmaking. She also uses digital media, combining traditional techniques with new technologies. She has participated in numerous exhibitions and received several awards. She works at the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo.
