Mehmed Zaimović

Mehmed Zaimović (Tuzla, 26 August 1938 – Sarajevo, 30 September 2011) was a painter from Bosnia and Herzegovina. He completed the School of Applied Arts in Sarajevo in 1961. He worked in painting, drawing, printmaking and book design.
His first exhibition in Sarajevo focused on ornament, reflecting an interest in arabesque and the symbolism of the Orient. His work connected contemporary painting with motifs and the spiritual heritage of Bosnia.
